A statement making gold tone metal book chain belt from the 1970s. Book Chain, named for the way that the rectangular folded pieces resemble a book, was first popularized during the Victorian era, sustaining popularity during the Edwardian era. It became a trend again in the 70s during the Victorian Revival movement. This belt features a double row of Book Chain and a large round rope style buckle with round studs. A delicately engraved filigree motif runs across both rows of chain on the square ‘book’ pieces. Hook closure.
