An iconic early 1980s quilted red Chanel flap bag in fine lambskin leather. This desirable bag is a Chanel signature, made more rare by its rounded shape and single flap construction. It features Chanel’s classic chain leather strap in gold, which can be adjusted to be worn with two shorter handles, or one longer strap. The front has a gold CC turnlock closure with “Chanel Paris” engraved on the back, a design feature introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in the 80s. The body of the bag features a large central compartment, a narrow front pocket compartment, and a zippered interior pocket. The CC logo is embroidered on interior of front flap, and the interior of the bag features the gold stamped “Chanel” trademark. The bag includes its original dust bag for storage. Full provenance of the bag is available upon request.
Condition is very good, preloved with no structural defects. There is some creasing under the flap and light signs of wear.
