A 1996 Hermès scarf, "L'Elegance Et Le Confort En Automobile," designed by Cathy Lathan. The pure silk scarf features various art deco style vignettes pertaining to travel by automobile. The color palette includes pale yellows, greys, blues, golds, and accents of rosy red. The border of the scarf resembles a zipper, and at the lower right hand corner the "hem" is flipped up to reveal a charming yellow, blue, and white plaid.
Hermès first began producing silk scarves in 1937 and became famous for their elaborate silk screening process, which applies each color present in the scarf one at a time on to the silk. The hallmark of luxury, Hermès has established itself as a timeless brand that will never go out of style!
