A truly stunning Missoni 2 piece ensemble, as photographed by Irving Penn for the May 1972 issue of American Vogue! (included in item photos) The sleeveless boat neck tunic & skirt is crafted in a sheer rainbow stripe knit and features an asymmetrical tiered body and a multi-layered handkerchief hemline. The elaborate draping of the garments hangs beautifully when standing still, but takes on a new vivaciousness when the wearer moves around. This rare archival piece perfectly exemplifies the bright bohemian ease that Missoni is famous for!

There are some pulls in the delicate knit of the fabric which often happens in Missoni pieces.
There is one stain that was not observed until the piece was laid flat & scrutinized. It is completely unnoticeable when worn on the body as it disappears in the drape of the fabric. There is a small repair inside the skirt where the hook & eye connects. Again this is very minor. Photos are included in description.
These small flaws were taken into account when the item was priced. It is an incredible piece of fashion history & a truly exquisite piece.
